This spring, emerging visual artist Norah B. Hunsharj transformed Fandi Mata into a vibrant meeting point for collectors, creatives, and New York’s contemporary art community with her solo exhibition Collectors & Martinis at Fandi Mata.

Located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York, Fandi Mata’s plant-filled, industrial-chic atmosphere and globally inspired dining experience provided the perfect backdrop for the month-long exhibition, where art, cocktails, conversation, and collector culture naturally intertwined. Throughout the series of events, the venue buzzed with art enthusiasts, gallerists, media figures, buyers, and cultural tastemakers gathering among curated dining tables and martini glasses to experience Hunsharj’s emotionally charged works.

The exhibition officially opened on March 18 with a packed reception introducing guests to Hunsharj’s evolving visual language. a body of work exploring childhood memory, human vulnerability, and society’s increasingly robotic nature. Her paintings sparked strong conversation among collectors and art professionals, positioning the artist as one to watch within New York’s contemporary art scene.

Momentum continued with highly attended live painting and collector evenings on March 25 and April 1, where guests experienced Hunsharj creating work in real time while networking over cocktails and dinner service. The events attracted art dealers, curators, collectors, creators, and press coverage, turning the evenings into immersive cultural gatherings rather than traditional gallery openings. During the exhibition run, five remarkable artwork sales were successfully made, reinforcing growing collector interest in Hunsharj’s work.

The exhibition concluded on April 8 with a lively closing event celebrating the success of the showcase and the strong response from the Williamsburg art community. Throughout the month, Fandi Mata continued to establish itself not only as a dining destination, but also as an increasingly important cultural venue where contemporary art and hospitality intersect.

Adding to the momentum surrounding the exhibition, several of Hunsharj’s artworks are also set to appear in the season finale episode of the CBS original series CIA, which was filmed inside Fandi Mata. The placement further expands the artist’s growing visibility beyond the gallery world and into film and television culture, introducing her work to a broader international audience.

The collaboration between the production and Fandi Mata highlighted the venue’s unique atmosphere as both a cinematic location and cultural hotspot in Williamsburg. For guests attending the exhibition, the connection between contemporary art, entertainment, dining, and collector culture created an even stronger sense that Hunsharj’s work is entering an exciting new chapter of recognition and demand.

Originally from San Luis, Argentina, Norah B. Hunsharj began her artistic journey at a young age, developing a strong sense of creativity and introspection that continues to shape her work today. After completing high school, she relocated to Buenos Aires to study Audiovisual Arts before continuing her education in Visual Arts with a focus on painting and sculpture at the National University of Arts. While still studying, she began building a career working on film sets as an Art Director, collaborating with respected directors, producers, and creatives while continuing to exhibit and expand her painting practice. Now based in New York City, Hunsharj’s work explores themes surrounding childhood, emotional identity, the gradual dehumanization of society, and the evolving relationship between humanity and robotics. With upcoming ambitions to exhibit in cities including Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, and eventually Europe, the artist continues to establish herself as a passionate and promising voice within the contemporary art world.

During the exhibition series, Hunsharj was also interviewed by Alexander Eriksson, adding further media attention to an already buzzing and collector-driven showcase that positioned the artist among the exciting emerging names currently gaining momentum in New York’s contemporary art world.
