TRUE STORY: MENTAL HEALTH
Harif Guzman Brings a Powerful New Exhibition to SoHo Arts Club
Presented by SoHo Arts Club

NEW YORK, NY — October 1, 2026 — SoHo Arts Club will host TRUE STORY: Mental Health, an evening of contemporary art featuring the work of acclaimed artist Harif Guzman, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 PM at 356 Broadway, New York.
The exhibition brings together Guzman's distinctive multidisciplinary practice with a focus on identity, personal experience, urban culture, and creative expression.
Born in Venezuela in 1975, Harif Guzman has built an artistic career shaped by movement, street culture, and life between cities including New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico.
Working across collage, assemblage, painting, sculpture, murals, and mixed media, Guzman transforms found objects and everyday materials into works exploring urban life, identity, humor, and social commentary. His work reflects influences from artists such as Kurt Schwitters, Robert Rauschenberg, and Jean-Michel Basquiat while maintaining a distinctive Pop and street-art aesthetic.
Katrina Chiovon: Actress & Gallerist
Actress and gallerist Katrina Chiovon, who recently opened a gallery in Tribeca, serves as the gallerist for the exhibition. Bringing her experience across the entertainment and art worlds, Chiovon continues to build connections between artists, creative communities, and audiences through her gallery work.
Art, Experience & Conversation
TRUE STORY: Mental Health explores how art can become a language for experiences and emotions that are often difficult to express. Through Guzman's work, the exhibition invites guests to reflect on identity, personal stories, and the relationship between creativity and the human experience.
The evening will bring together artists, collectors, creatives, and members of New York's cultural community for an intimate night of art and conversation at SoHo Arts Club.
Known as a creative hub for artists, collectors, and cultural communities, SoHo Arts Club provides a unique setting where contemporary art intersects with fashion, film, design, music, and New York's broader creative scene.
The club's programming creates opportunities for artists to exhibit their work while bringing audiences together through intimate exhibitions and cultural events. TRUE STORY: Mental Health continues that spirit, using the gallery environment as a space for artistic expression and conversation.
