"Fresh Kills," distributed by Quiver Distribution, transcends the traditional mafia genre, offering a gripping narrative that resonates with anyone who has ever found themselves trapped in a situation they did not choose. Jennifer Esposito, portraying the character Francine, delivers a powerful and nuanced performance as a woman striving to find her voice in a world that constantly tries to silence her.

Set against the backdrop of 1980s New York City, the film follows Francine, who is married into a Brooklyn organized crime family. Seeking more space and a fresh start, the family relocates to Staten Island. However, despite the change in scenery, the oppressive shadow of the mafia continues to loom over Francine and her daughters, Rose and Connie, played by Emily Bader and Odessa A'zion. The story delves into their struggle for autonomy and the relentless pursuit of personal freedom.

The film boasts an ensemble cast of remarkable talent. Domenick Lombardozzi brings intensity to the role of Joe, while Annabella Sciorra captivates as Christine. Nicholas Cirillo portrays Alli with authenticity, and Stelio Savante and Franco Maicas deliver memorable performances as Nello and Frankie, respectively. Each actor brings depth and nuance to their roles, enriching this gripping tale of family, power, and the struggle for self-determination.

Adding to the film's emotional impact is the evocative score composed by Theodosia Roussos, which enhances the intense and dramatic landscape of "Fresh Kills." The music intertwines seamlessly with the narrative, amplifying the emotional journey of the characters.

Jennifer Esposito’s vision for "Fresh Kills" is clear and compelling: it is a film about finding one's voice amidst overwhelming noise and opposition. It’s a story of resilience, inner strength, and the fight for self-identity, themes that are universally relatable and profoundly moving.
